Resiliency Project

I am looking for people to participate in a long term project inspired by human resiliency, I am seeking people who have endured great stress in their lives to the print of breaking mentally, physically or emotionally and have been tempered by the experience. I was inspired to come up with the project by the Japanese art form of kintsugi. In this art form a broken piece of pottery is repaired by using gold to put it back together. Instead of discarding the broken pottery like we would here in the west, the Japanese will find beauty and value in the broken object and make it more beautiful still by repairing it without hiding the fact that it broke but instead turn the damage into beauty and strength.

I seek to find the human equivalents of a kintsugi bowl. People who have been broken by life, but who rebuilt themselves without hiding their scars and wounds but instead taking pride in them and telling their stories. If you are such a person, or if you know someone who should be featured send me a message though my contact form.
